3/29/07 Almost That Time Again! Options

BGOAT.com is approaching it's 4th anniversary which means the clan itself is about 41/2 years old now. The site's anniversary is on the 6th of april. I dunno if there will be any updates for that or not but keep checking back. Now for the big news.


As everyone knows back in september of 06 I got to fly out to Neversoft and get some hands on w/ P8. It was a blast the best expeirience ever. Now the expeirence is about to get better. No I didn't get invited to play this next TH game. Even better. The people over at Neversoft have been working w/ me the past few weeks and basically want me to move out there to work for them. This of course is a huge step for me. it means moving my family away from our family and away from my kids grandparents and great grandparents. a huge decision for sure. They would get us set up w/ a nice temporary place and pay for the entire move. Now I know most of you are like do it do it. but theres more then just leaving behind family because Neversoft said they would pay for us to go back and visit twice a year. The other thing is that I would have to release owner ship of BGOAT.com and all it's sites and properties to someone else and basically give up BGOAT. This is because since I would be working for the company that makes the games that we find glitches for they don't want info being leaked about the games. I am only now able to post about it because of all the technicalalities and such and even now can't go into great detail as far as like my pay rate goes and such. So basically I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place. Should I leave my family for a promising career doing what I love all the way across the country. close the site and leave behind people I have come to call friends for the past 4 1/2 years. or should I just stay where I am doing what I do and pass up an oppertunity of a life time. Who would take over BGOAT.com and it's leadership if anyone. I just wanted to let you guys know whats going on and see what you guys think about the situation.

I believe that you should pass on the responsibilities of clan leader to someone else within the clan, and then still remain active in the forums. For a job, that would be an amazing thing. Neversoft needs more people who actually play the game to have input on how it should be made. I am behind you regardless of the decision.

If you choose harold, and duct as leaders, who will pay? SOmebody still needs to pay for the hosting of the forums/site.

I already offered to do that. But if somebody else wants to go fo it.

If you do move to CA, I'll manage the forums but I think Nick should lead BGOAT (The clan itself) ... I mean after all, he's really mature and is already a great leader. I don't even think Nick really even needs me on the forum end. It's not hard to manage a forum. It's just time taking when it comes to upgrades and such. I'm too young to juggle a whole clan on my back. Between school and friends it's a lot. You know? Nick never gets into fights and flame battles.

But wow.. this is just so quick. I wasn't expecting wiz to even say "leave the clan" for another 3 or 4 years.

I say go with the job. I mean we ARE your family but we have our own families that support US. You should support YOUR OWN family first.. then us.

You wouldn't have to totally give up BGOAT, would you? I mean.. couldn't you still post AND help keep up the site by donating?

Edit: We don't need someone to "manage" the glitches. I mean, people just post the glitches there.. We don't need to modify the structure of the clan as it is. Just make Nick the leader and that's it.

Wow wiz. 100% go for it man. We are all behind you. You BETTERRR stay in contact with us if you go. I would say give harold or duct managment of the site if I had to pick someone. Harold would be an amazing forum leader and duct as well.


As a friend of over 3 years now, I am behind you no matter what you do. Man follow your dreams dude. I mean the bad part of it is you will be moving away from family, but think of the benefits. You can maybe have a nice fucking mansion or soemthing for your family, wont have to worry about college funds and shit for your kids depending on your pay (most likly high I mean look how much moeny they make). Plus, if your making a ton of money, fly back to visit your fam every month if you want to. Dude not to mention, you would be fucking HOOKED up in video games. Like for life. Go for it. BGOAT has been around way to long anyway. ill keep glitching and forum my own database or something. like i said its ur lyfe this would be alot better then u have now. <3 ya buddy if =BGOAT= died id just join ATG or something. make my own clan a universal game glitching clan.

I won't have to give up BGOAT. But I am happy to see that if I did there would be people here to back me up. I really wouldn't want to give anyone the burden to take over BGOAT. I can handle it because it's like my baby I w/ the help of other people have raised it to what it is. and no matter what I won't give up on it like other people have given up on there sites because they got bored. (TxO). TxO lasted 4 years as well and then bowed out. I think it's safe to say that we are the longest lasting clan and site so far. and prolly the second longest lasting and active Tony Hawk site. second of course to PTH. I will keep you guys posted. W/ the posts in here I can see who would stick w/ it and who would turn away at the first sign of a problem.

Well I know you have a difficult time figureing out waht do to, but I think you should do what YOUR family wants. I think its a choice between what you love more. Video games, or your family. But if you had to choose. Id choose my family. Because after all your family is more important than anything else. So do what you want, but you should do something thats okay with your family.
