Lolololololol playstation3 sold out in japan on 11/11/06 (100k units) while japan only sold 96k xbox 360 for the whole YEAR since the xgay launch).

I saw much because it took a little digging to try and figure out why the PS3 wasn't initially finding content on non Memory sticks. It turns out that the default is for the console to look for specific folders (hello, PSP) when you insert any sort of storage device. But if, when you are in the music category on the cross media bar, you select the storage device with the triangle button it allows you to tell it to display all content. Then you can just browse through the folders and choose whatever you want.

It's not a big deal, but they probably should have made that the default option, and perhaps a future update will.

The first time you pop in a PS2 game the system tells you you need to create a small partition on your drive to act like a virtual memory card. Then it just saves progress on it as it would a regular memory card.

After that you just need to pop the game in and start it like you would a PS3, simple as that.

I've tried three or four games on the system and all have worked fine, including SingStar using the USB microphones. I haven't been able to try to do a Guitar Hero or Guitar Hero 2 work around yet because you need to get a special adapter to be able to plug your guitar, or any PS2 controller, into a PS3.

Doesnt state a problem with the PS3. Frame rate has been a problem on all consoles.. Maybe its the way the game was made? Duh... THP8 not having online on the PS3... not a PS3 problem.

The thing about the PS3, it's definitely optimized for heat. Without looking too much like the Mac cheesegrater, this thing is really set up for unconstricted airflow -- a far cry from its original, smoother design. During our play time, the unit remained relatively cool -- as cool, if not cooler than the Xbox 360.

Despite rumor, Sony insists the US is still officially targeted for a 400k unit launch; Japan is still set for a mere 80k. Sony execs are actually expecting an upturn in unit production before launch, so those numbers may actually go up.

Pretty good facts about the PS3 there thanks. Thats ^ one thing I didnt know haha.

All the bugs on the PS3 do not effect game play and shit all of it can be fixed with one simple system update.
