Heres the thing though. The average video game player ANYWHERE doesn't own an HDTV or care about one. The average console owner doesn't play online. So, take away the blue ray, hddvd drives and wireless.
Which one is the better deal to the average consumer then?
Xbox360 cost = $400 ...........................................PS3 cost = $600
Controller battery charger cost = $15 ............Controller battery charger cost = Included/USB
Game = $60..............................................................$60
Price total = around $465 dollars .............................Price total = $660
The shortages will just make people buy the other systems or just wait so they don't have to pay 3500+ for their console.
So, instead of waiting until spring, why not just buy something you can play now. Or better yet, instead of being a retarded fanboy who only buys one thing, broaden your horizons and experiance something new.
PS: Why does every pro PS3 topic become anti 360 and result in a giant dick hugging ball? Sony hasn't pwned shit yet. The console isn't out. Lets just wait until the system is released, and unbiased opinions are released.
Ok you just said take away the blue ray and wireless and HD DVD. but here's the thing IT COMES W/ THE PS3 you can't take it away. thats why it's the better deal so if people do want that shit they don't have to spend hundreds on extra shit that takes up space. I knew some xbox fan boy would come in here and try to turn things around. the truth is your just blinded by your fan boy state. I own a xbox360 and I will own a PS3 so considering I own a 360 you can't call me a fan boy. I am just stating facts.
also you forgot to include the HDD no matter how you look at it the PS3 is the overall long term better deal.
and your math sucks. the lasdt time I checked $400+$15+%60 = $475 not $460. and if you took all those things away from a PS3 guess what it would be a hell of a lot cheaper then a 360. lets figure it this way. if an HD DVD drive costs $200 a BR drive is gonna cost way more. but for sake of argument lets say the BR drive costs the same as the HD DVD drive. so you would minus that $200 from the $600 all ready brining it to the same cost as the 360. and you still have the wireless internet HD connectivity and controller charger included. ok so now since the wireless thing for the 360 costs $100 we will take that away from the PS3 as well brining the cost down to $300. now take away the 60 gig HDD and even if that only costs $100 which is what the 360 20 gig costs that would bring the price down to $200 minus the $20 for the controller charger cord thing then the total cost of a PS3 would be $180 more then 2 times cheaper then a 360. imagine that...... No matter how you look at it the PS3 has everything in one bundle and theres no need to buy all this extra shit. and in order to make the 360 up to par w/ the PS3 you would infact be paying around $300 more on your 360 then a PS3.
