Guncon works nothing like the Wiimote. When you pull the trigger, the screen flashes and whatever is white is what is hit.

Then it combines this with whats on the screen (Enemies, objects, wherever you shot at).

So, it is a 3 step process that works extremly fast. All the info comes from the TV. This is why you can't use a guncon on any HD screen (Except RGB monitors used in arcades.)

The duckhunt zapper simply looks for white anything. You can shoot the thing at a white wall or light and kill every duck on the screen.

Nintendo wouldn't sue Namco right now anyway. They are working together to make the games that Rare had previously (Star Fox, Donkey Kong, arcade Mario Kart, and a few other portables.) The last thing Nintendo needs is to alienate its third party devolpers.

If this company can sue Nintendo for almost kind of like it technology, then I see no reason Nintendo couldn't sue for Guncon. dry.gif

Heres the thing though. Nintendo hasn't been sued yet. This shit hasn't even reached Nintendo's offices.

You can get a lawsuit on anything. If I wanted to sue you for having the name Doughnut, a lawer would be glad to take my money and at least attempt to start something. Then everything gets thrown out and the only people who won were you and the lawyer.
