make a level long one way. then place a rail using the rail tool. now go back over the end of it and press O to grab it. now drag it to the end of the level the post should stay but should separate from the rail. now save the cap or switch themes. the rail should be placed. now go into test mode and you won't be able to grind the rail. but if you find the post you will find you can grind an invisible rail.
