ok well i am going to be buying a online adapter for ps2 off of ebay and wanted to know if the set up disc really matters? the reason i ask this is because the online adapter i found on ebay didn't have an adapter set-up disc and i wanted to know if that would be a problem and find another or if its not problem and to just order it. help would be wonderfull.

You need either a setup disc or a game like Socom, which is able to setup internet settings.

Get one with the start up disc cause thats where you alter your internet settings. So if you do end up getting one off ebay, get one with the start up disc. Also if your computer or internet source is in another room, go wireless like i did. Way better than wires going around your house.

Well the first one is $25 and the second one is $10. i belive. I dont really see much of a difference but I would search somemore or just pay like 10 bucks and how ever much for shipping and if it doesn't work return it. I would try the cheaper shipping cost first lol.
*edit* ok i found this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/Playstation-2-PS2-netw...1QQcmdZViewItem it is @ 6 dollars plus 10 dollars shipping. Itsused but the same one i have ( doesn't help) But I think if you are willing to spent $36 then you might wanna go for that one, but like I said search somemore see what you get, cause like on the 5th page for ps3 someone won it for $980 which is cheap compared to the $1300 ones.

You'll need a disc, but if socom works, rent it or borrow it from a friend.

Just take a deep breath. Relax. Inhale. Exhale and repeat untill calm.
