Character Descriptions

Dana Mercer
Dana is the only person that Alex Mercer really trusts. She’s Alex’s sister, and his first vital contact in Manhattan. Dana looks out for Alex, does footwork for him and believes in her brother. She’ll do whatever’s necessary to help Alex out.

Dr. Ragland Ph.D.
After spending eleven years working in research in the so-called the “Bio-Belt”, Dr. Ragland allegedly retired to work in pathology. Ragland represents good science, hope for the future, and progress. He’s an upbeat foil for the Alex Mercer to play against, someone to interact with who knows all his secrets, powers and history.

The Specialist
Resilient, resourceful, and most of all…deadly! The Specialist is the right man for the wrong job. He’s the one sent in when things fail to go according to plan – the BLACKWATCH’s last line of insurance, and he hasn’t failed yet.

BLACKWATCH
The BLACKWATCH are seasoned military veterans, handpicked from Special Forces and security units from across the country. They have performed every dirty deed under the sun and are unafraid and unflinching when faced with anything ranging from kidnapping to liquidation. BLACKWATCH do not panic, and they act with clarity and purpose that proves they are aware of what’s happening and know how to deal with it.

New York City
In PROTOTYPE, New York City is a character in itself, evolving and shifting to reflect the ongoing crisis. People begin to notice things are not right in New York. There’s a gathering feeling in the air, like ozone before a lightning storm; and many people report sightings of bizarre creatures, a strange military presence, and new, odd diseases.

The Infected
An infection is spreading through New York City and something is terribly wrong with its inhabitants. Various shops and small apartment buildings are closed down and boarded up. The authorities keep recovering odd corpses of bizarre creatures as they continually turn up throughout the city. Significant landmarks are being closed off and used as “containment” centers, where infected citizens are “treated”. But something’s not right, and there’s a cover story in place keeping the truth from the public eye, while thousands of Infected gather together for one final confrontation.

Wow! Like i said before, this game will be a great buy. The boxart is simply elegant. The scrren, with the one of the bosses i guess, is intense.
