What's lol is that I don't NEED any desktop icons. Everything of any remote use is somewhere in the start menu.

Just re-installed Ubuntu 8.04. Was taking a long time to upgrade due to tons of people doing it at once, I downloaded the ISO and just did a fresh install ( I know I could have upgraded, decided not to ).
