Is there anyway to take like regular speakers with the red and black wires to hook up to a tv without a reciever to get surround sound? help would be sick!

red and white correspond to left and right speakers, i.e. stereo sound.

for surround sound you will need either a optical audio cable or hdmi...

i have a surround sound system for a computer hooked up to my tv, wich only has stereo output. but i use a converter, so even though i have a surround setup, its only 2 channels...
