Simple question, who do you think will win the console wars?

I think Sony or Nintendo will.

Bill destroyed his chances with the 360. It had no real improvements and none of that "next-gen graphics."

Either the PS3 or the Wii will come out on top. I'm gunna buy a PS3, but I'm not sure about the Wii.

I think im going with the ps3 ive been with playstation since it started. And, from what ive been hearing around school, no one is getting a wii.

To me, Wii looks like it's attracting the younger audience, along with the retro people. The new features do rock.

PS3 even though some people will only care about price they'll get the other systems *cough* and deal with mediocre performance.

If PS3 doesn't win, Wii deserves it for its originality but I think its game library will make it look like crap.

ya, i was on the little kids bus a couple of days ago, and one of the kids was like, im gettin an xbox 360, i told him that that was stupid and i told him he should wait for the ps3. his reply was: but the ps3 isnt out yet so why would i want it? =/ for some reason all the other kids laughed as if he just made one hillarious joke...

PS3 will win unless blu-ray flops. Wii will become huge like 6 months after its released and 360 will just melt on the shelves.


So:

1. PS3 (2nd if blu-ray flops)
2.Wii
3.that other system

my HONEST opinion:

Since PS3 is a new console it will sell great at launch. Then with the wii comeing out it will sell half the machines PS3 did. The 360 will come out with its magical 3 (gta iv, gears of war, halo 3) and do good in sales. The wii will die down with the PS3 following

sony for shure, inovative, plus after looking at the user interface, internet and music and video and photo wouldb incorperated in a sexy look like the psp, so that tells us multi media. plus theres another icon next to network, not shure what it was tho. wii is inovative, but not next gen in graphics wise...

Yep. Just because the 360 hasn't really had any games worth getting yet doesn't mean it sucks. You'll have to wait, for more games to come out. Especially for Halo 3.

For all I know, I may as well just get a PC for gaming. I don't really care.

I go with playstation they always come out with the games u wonna play wile the xbox series comes out with halo a 3rd person game that I dont like much and some other fantasy games. While alot of the manly sports people when you go to their house they have their ps2 with the old skool basketball street basket ball and the new games of course. I admit xbox as this moment has better gfx then ps2 but People have memorys with the playstation. From what i remember i played metal gear. with ps1 it changed the gaming system more with how small it was. then ps2 came out with dvd and gameplay. And with the classic gta exc exc. THen xbox comes out of no where.

But im hoping some of the classic for nintendo will be online and shit. Like pokemon. Thats all i got in mind. SO I SAY FUCK THE XBOX GO WITH PS2 AND WII!!!!!!!!

They have online capabilities. I saw it confirmed on G4. They were talking about sword fighting online against your friends.

it all depends on who markets their product the best.

people dont respond to the hardware or the things it can do they respond to how it is marketted. thats the only way they can an edge on each other. that the way all businesses work.

It is a lot about the marketing, because it makes it seem like it's the only thing out there, or it's "popular/revolutionary". The only consoles coming close to "revolutionary" are PS3 and DEFINITELY Wii.

Ummm I never said that advertising has nothing to do with it. You first said people dont buy stuff on what it has n what it can do but all on advertising. Which is an idiotic thing to say. Thats like advertising the hell out of a VCR then advertise the hell out of a DVD player, more people are gonna buy a DVD player on what it has n what it can do over a VCR that might be advertised more.
