Could this be why Infinity Ward dropped the Call of Duty tag for the upcoming Modern Warfare 2? Lets hope MW2 gets released on the planned date of 11/10/09 Read More

yeah well i doubt they would just scrap it, i think theu would let them finish developing and post it so that they may earn sales, because of the popularity of the call fo duty name itself

well i also doubt they would scrap it but if activision left cod all to treyarch then infinity ward would use the title modern warfare for there games unless activision trademarked it. also, if they did scrap it, im sure they would have to reschedule the release date to find a new developer/publisher, which im sure, wouldnt take infinity ward too long as people have seen the popularity of cod4.
