ok I connected my ethernet cable into the (at&t U-verse) box in my room and tested the connection (the main box is in a diffrent room and the box I connected the ethernet cable to is connected through to the main box somehow).... it said its "wired" but the IP adress failed. Im not sure what to do. any help or ideas?

umm... is the at&t thing a Switch/Hub? or a wireless xbox 360 adapter? Either way i have no idea what is wrong. Just go here...

the at&t thing is a wireless internet and tv thing. and the link didnt work.

Well, if it's a Wireless Xbox 360 adapter, then your router might not be detecting it. No idea how to help there. Since i have a Wired Connection. unsure.gif
