Who here could care less about this beta/ $60 demo besides me. I also could care less about the game itslef. The reason I say it's a $60 demo is because for the most part you had to pay $60 for crackdown a overall crappy game to get into this "beta" the only reason it's called a beta is so that when people figure out how horrible it is they can say well.... thats just the beta. I dunno I guess we will see what happens. I just don't know what all the hype is about.

As usual, Microsoft fucked it up.
At least 98% of betas are free, and they sure as hell don't come bundled with a game. I mean, they might as well change the name of Crackdown to Halo 3 Beta invite Featuring Crackdown, because I know a whole mess of people that are buying Crackdown for that very reason.

Well then they knew lots of people would do anything to play it, so they knew theyd buy Crackdown for it, thus getting lots of Crackdown sales.

umm... It's not $60. There were 3 other ways to get the beta without buying Crackdown. Getting picked from signing up at Halo 3 site, Playing Halo 2 for 3 hours at a certain time, or getting a redemtion code in your messages from bungie.net

But your not paying $60 for the Beta. your paying $60 for Crackdown, and it comes with the Halo 3 Beta.
