Margera, known as "Don Vito" to fans of the 2003-2005 MTV reality show, was being held on $50,000 bond. Prosecutors asked for a high bail citing Margera's celebrity status as well as his criminal record, which includes convictions in 1976 and 1980 in Pennsylvania, the newspaper said.

During an advisement hearing Monday, Margera said he understood the charges against him and complained he had not seen an attorney or "anybody" since being jailed Friday night.

The case was continued until Wednesday.
