I found a nice 200 GB one for 100 bucks. So then im lookin around some more and I come across this.

Oh btw anyone with an external HD. Can I like put linux on the external?
Oh and can I like put some progs on the external to save space on my laptop's HD. Idk too much about them so yea.

I have nothing to add except that I would wait until there is SATA external drives. Without having to do anything extra. ESPECIALLY if you want to put an OS on it.

i got my sata drive an enclosure, which are harder to find than you'd think, but now im getting it filled up with 200gb of music


anyways i think my point was that you could save money getting a drive and enclosure

don't forget SATA>eSATA>firewire>USB

Firewire is slightly faster. Plus if you don't have USB 2.0 then it takes forever to move shit...

Lawlerskates. I was gonna put linux on it, I dont have a problem with load times, I do have a Playstion 2 you know, lmao. umm anyway Sony jokes aside, Im basically putting all of my files, music, photos, etc, on it. Things like that. Then Ill prob put all my games and progs on there too.
