Ok, so last night i was goign to dual boot WinXP and Ubuntu, but I went of WinXP and no internet(I goto setup connection and it cant find the hardware) No sound. But all works on ubuntu. So whats wrong?

In device manager it shows that some VGA thing has a prob, PCI Simple Communications has a prob, Multimedia somethin has a prob.

Note this is a legal cd, not warez.. And on a System Restore.

Yea, I had the same problems when I had Ubuntu and XP, it seemed like Ubuntu stole the drivers from Xp but when I installed them again it still didn't work. I called help lines and talked to people on forums and no one knew. I ended up having to get it replaced, good thing it was new with a warranty happy.gif

"What momma don't know won't hurt her" Simple, I made a Killdisk disc and erased everything including Grub, then restored WinXP.

It is most commonly used by experts to describe to one another that the problem was not in the computer but was instead caused by the user operating it.

Expert, of course he does.

psst im not that stupid

I never said I knew the actual problem. But I do know that Ubuntu doesn't do anything, and that if you do system restore, it should work fine. It's something the user did.
