The .hack series takes place in a virtual Online world -- that is to say, they're Offline games whose story has Online themes. With .hack//fragment, Bandai and co-developers Cyber Connect 2 and Artdink are taking the series into the realm of true Online gameplay for the first time. Using a standard network adapter (no need for a hard disk) you'll have the option of adventuring alongside players throughout the country.

When playing Online, you first create your own character. You can give your character a name, profession and gender, and even modify its physical appearance. Once you have a character, you enter a lobby and search for two other players to join you on an adventure. Gameplay in .hack//fragment takes place in groups of three.

sounds cool. I noticed the title .hack when i was reading through the names of games on my AR. Imight just start playing these games, they seem interesting.

and i have a question: are the games a lot less enjoyable if you never watched the anime?

the 4 cd games the first games are before the anime show. So if u played the game and den watched the show you would understand the show. So its kinda criscross.

sounds cool. i got $80 to spend, so i'll just get the first one, see how i like it, and if i do ill just get them all.

well, i can get .hack//infection for $18, so that leaves...$62, which is more than enough for THP8. It's all good. =) i can wait to buy the other .hack games.

yea i think the first 3 are 20 bucks then the last one is 40 bucks. But I cant wait for fragment its gonna be online And alot of people are waiting for it. Hope its gonna be for ps3 for better gfx

I've wanted to get into this rpg series for awhile now but I cant find the first one. I dont like starting a series in the middle cause you miss so much. Im still going on my FF7 series. Got FF7, FF7: Advent Children, and FF7: Dirge Of Cerberus (Vincent's story after Meteor). Im just waiting now for FF7: Before Crisis and Im set unless they come out with more which I wouldnt complain.

yea i got part 4 first and i didnt get wtf was happening so i got part 1 then i was like me stupid so i got the rest of the games. and Now im on the last cd.

heres a vid i made after defeating the final big boss. their was another one but he was like bonus and died to fast so he was just their to entertain you.
