=BGOAT= Forums _ General _ P8 Almost Perfect

Posted by: ROOK Master wiz Dec 9 2006, 08:45 PM

I have P8 for 360, psp, and PS2. each one has it's flaws. 360 doesn't have very much create a what ever abilities. CAS was limited no CAP. etc. the story mode was great and the graphics are great and so on and so on. the PS2 also lacked the create a things however the levels it included were larger. the levels had extra areas or even different areas and it had Set Custom Restart which as we know is a big tool used for glitching. The psp version is perhaps my favorite version.... how is that possible you ask. well it has the same levels as the PS2 version fpr stpry mode as far as I know ( I haven't played much of story mode) BUT it also includes classic mode. in classic mode you have levels such as Hawaii, Alcatraz and Downhill jam renamed Pheonix (arizona) along w/ older levels like chicago, marseilles, minniapolis. now if you added in the CAP and all the Create a things we love and then combined all these games together you would have the perfect THP8 game. how ever right now if you want it all you have to play it on each of those 3 systems.

P8 could of been so much more if it was just given more time.

I agree. I rather wait 2 or 3 years for a perrrfect game than 1 for one that gets so close. Now that they have the engine in place, they can add the shit that we want easily (Clothes, tricks, logos, etc).

I like the whole 1 level thing, but I still feel that the level in P8 is small. They need to do everything bigger next year and have more of the good parts (Skate parks, slums, school) and less of the bad (Fun Park, Factory, City).

I want the whole next game to be in an urban enviroment. Have multiple skate parks around town, a lot of hills, basically San Francisco mixed with New York.

i think the next tony hawk could be the last...because p8 didnt do so hot, and with the release of SKATE...tony hawk games are practically doomed.

Personally I couldn't care less. Neversoft can die, not just the game. I really don't even care anymore.

I really miss created things (gives me something to do when I'm not feeling 100%) but overall I'm real impressed with P8 on the 360 the graphics and animations are so awesome looking and plus all the levels put together is like 1 giant alcatraz it's so rad all the different things you can skate on and do. Hearing that about a classic mode on PSP has me seriously considering buying one, that and you can watch movies on it is lookin real good for that purchase. One of the drawbacks of a new engine is that some small differences are lacking but I have good faith the next one will be even better I can't wait to see what they come up with next it's been 1 knockout game after another with the TH series they just keep gettin better.
